Layoff history
Adjust, the AppLovin-owned mobile measurement and marketing platform, laid off 304 employees across multiple rounds in late 2024, with WARN notices filed in California covering 120 staff on November 13, 58 in October, 65 in early October, and 61 in August. The company cited cost efficiencies as the driving motivation, and announced that product, support, marketing, and engineering teams would be integrated into AppLovin's core organization. The restructuring came despite AppLovin's own business performing strongly, with Q3 2024 revenue up 39% year-over-year to $1.2 billion and net income rising 300% to $434 million. Adjust named Andrey Kazakov, a co-founder of the acquired Acquired.io, as its new CEO, signaling a shift toward an "engineering-first" organization with greater emphasis on AI and automation. Adjust had been acquired by AppLovin in 2021 for up to $1 billion and operated out of Berlin with offices across 16 countries. No severance details were made public.
