Layoff history
Citing AI-driven efficiency improvements, Angi announced on January 7, 2026 that it would cut 350 jobs, roughly 12.5% of its global workforce. The home-services marketplace filed with the SEC that the reductions were meant to lower operating expenses and "optimize the organizational structure in support of long-term growth." The company expected to save $70 to $80 million annually, while one-time restructuring and severance costs were projected at up to $30 million. Most cuts were set to be completed by March 2026. Angi had launched an AI tool called AI Helper in June 2025 that handles request analysis, provider matching, communications, and scheduling, signaling a broader push to automate work previously done by staff.
