Khoros has 4 publicly reported layoff rounds on record between October 21, 2022 and June 20, 2025. A total of about 352 employees were affected across these rounds.
Layoff history
Khoros, an Austin social media and customer engagement software company, filed notice with Texas authorities in June 2025 of plans to lay off 116 employees, with separations set to begin August 19 and wrap up by August 29. The cuts came less than a month after IgniteTech, an enterprise software roll-up owned by ESW Capital Group, acquired Khoros on May 27, 2025. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Those laid off included at least one vice president and several senior managers and directors. The notice stated there would be no bumping rights, meaning senior affected employees could not displace more junior staff who are staying. Khoros had roughly 173 employees in Austin as of 2023, so the August cuts could remove close to two-thirds of local headcount. No severance terms were specified in the WARN filing.
