Layoff history
OutSystems reduced its global headcount by 8%, affecting approximately 150 employees, in April 2024. CEO Paulo Rosado said the goal was to "make the organization more agile at scale." The Boston-headquartered low-code development platform, which was valued as a unicorn, had previously cut about 227 workers, roughly 9% of staff, in January 2023 amid economic headwinds and a valuation decline. The 2024 round continued the company's effort to right-size following a period of rapid hiring. No severance details or information about which teams were affected were made public. Rosado later stepped down as CEO in 2025, with Woodson Martin from Salesforce named as his successor.
