Sapiens has 1 publicly reported layoff round on record (most recent December 28, 2025). A total of about 700 employees were affected across these rounds.
Layoff history
Sapiens International cut roughly 700 employees, about 15% of its 5,400-person workforce, in late December 2025 following a $2.5 billion acquisition by private equity firm Advent International. The deal closed that month, and the entire senior leadership team was replaced immediately, including CEO Roni Al-Dor, who had led the company for two decades. Advent signaled its intent to turn Sapiens into "a leaner company focused on a smaller number of profitable products, even at the cost of a short-term decline in revenue." The cuts fell heaviest on services divisions, non-strategic product lines, and support functions. With more than 2,000 employees in India and roughly 1,000 across the UK and Europe, the reductions touched multiple regions, though Israel's development center faced relatively limited immediate impact.
Reason: Post-acquisition restructuring by Advent International, reducing services and non-core products
