The reductions hit staff in Orange County, Fremont and the Mojave Air and Space Port test facility, and remaining operations were consolidated at the company's Irvine, California headquarters. Roughly 70 to 80 employees stayed on. The company had been developing its S-A2 eVTOL aircraft for a planned 2028 launch. It said it was not shutting down and that Hyundai remained committed to advanced air mobility.
