The Good Glamm Group has 1 publicly reported layoff round on record (most recent April 18, 2024). A total of about 150 employees were affected across these rounds.
Layoff history
The Good Glamm Group laid off 150 employees, around 15% of its workforce, in April 2024 as the New Delhi-based content-to-commerce unicorn worked to reach profitability in FY25. CEO Darpan Sanghvi said: "In the last 12 months, we've been focusing on reducing our cost base" and expressed confidence that "FY25 will be profitable for us." The cuts were framed as the final phase of integrating the brands the company had acquired, including MyGlamm, MomsCo, BabyChakra, POPxo, ScoopWhoop, and Plixxo. A new organizational framework was introduced to cut management layers and give junior managers greater budgetary control. The restructuring coincided with a Series E fundraise targeting $70 million, with $30 million already secured, and plans for an IPO by Diwali 2025. Severance terms were not publicly disclosed.
Reason: post-acquisition integration and profitability push ahead of IPO
