Layoff history
UiPath disclosed in an SEC filing on July 9, 2024 that it would cut approximately 420 jobs, 10% of its roughly 4,200-person workforce, as the automation software company dealt with sharply slowing growth. Revenue guidance for fiscal 2025 had been revised down to $1.27-1.28 billion, a growth rate of about 7.5% compared with 24% the prior year. The cuts targeted operational, corporate, and go-to-market functions, with the company saying it would also refocus R&D spending on artificial intelligence. The announcement followed the May 2024 resignation of CEO Rob Enslin, with co-founder Daniel Dines returning to lead the company. UiPath's shares fell 7% on the news and were down more than 50% year-to-date at the time. Restructuring charges were estimated at $17 million to $25 million, with most departures expected by the end of the first quarter of fiscal 2026.
